Stephen Delaney is a former Performance Director and National Development Coach for Triathlon Ireland. With extensive experience coaching and managing teams at prestigious events, Stephen is well-equipped to guide endurance athletes of all ability levels, career stages, and goals.
Stephen has coached at two Olympic Games (Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo), the Commonwealth Games in Brisbane, and numerous World and European Championships. His experience covers Elite, Para, U23, Junior, and Youth categories, showcasing his adaptability and wide-ranging coaching skills.
Stephen has also guided athletes through diverse events such as the Ironman World Championships, National Series Triathlon, schools athletics, Ras na mBan, and more unusual challenges including the World Adventure Championships.
Stephen's own athletic achievements include racing for Ireland in cycling and winning the Ras Tailteann and National Time Trial Championships. In later years, he accomplished a personal best of 3:03 in the marathon and completed the Hardman long-distance triathlon in Kerry.
