Transitions matter. And not just in Elite international racing. The time difference in transition in their head to head counting races was 27 seconds and Cory Fines beat Loughlin Campion by less than 3 seconds overall for the National Series Title.

The PTVI category for women in Paris looks to be between Susana Rodriguez and Francesca Tarantello for the win. They have traded 1st and 2nd places for a year now and are consistently over 2 minutes ahead of the competition. Meanwhile its all eyes on Kelly Elmlinger in PTS4

When we imagine what an elite athlete has to do to secure qualification for an Olympic or Paralympic Games in any sport it is easy to conclude that securing podiums in qualification events must be good enough. However if Paris 2024 is anything to go by, athletes in paratriathlon with multiple Top 3 results can still fall short.
